Have you had difficulties trying to manage holidays when tutoring as you don’t have an automatic Holiday Skipper?

How to avoid holidays when scheduling tutoring sessions is a problem that many tutors and tutoring companies face. Furthermore, this is really problematic if your tutors or students are in a country with different public holidays.

Manage Holidays When Tutoring

Tutoring holiday management in TutorFirst starts with loading holidays to your holiday calendar.

Most importantly, this is super easy. Just select a country and load the holidays.

The image below shows how easy it is to load a list of holidays for a country.

Furthermore, if you have tutoring targeted to a particular country you can load that holiday list along with your local list.

The image below shows one holiday on January 6th, but two on January 1st as two countries holidays are loaded to the holiday skipper.

Custom Days in Holiday Skipper

Does your state, county or city have a holiday that is not represented in the national list? If so, create a custom holiday to help with tutoring holiday management.

This is simple in TutorFirst. Simply press on a day and add a holiday as shown in the graphic below.

Avoid Holidays when Scheduling

Helpfully, TutorFirst gives you the option to skip holidays when creating sessions. Therefore making it easy to avoid holidays when scheduling.

On the other hand if someone is working, then scheduling on a holiday is permitted and the holiday skipper can be turned off. However, a warning will be displayed in a session, just to clarify.
